I am starting my New Year 2018 with a saving challenge this week. I created this challenge during the last week of 2017 because I wanted a system of saving that was fun and easy to do. I have been looking to establish a saving routine that is easy and manageable and allows me to keep track of my progress without being random.
My 52-week saving challenge is the $5 challenge. Here is how it works:
There are 52 weeks in the year. I split up the weeks into 13-weekly groups. Week one through four is $5 per week savings. Group 2 weekly saving is increased by $5 to $10. Each group’s weekly savings is increased by $5 more than the previous group until the last group weekly savings which will be $65 weekly. By the end of week 52, I will have a total of $1,820.
